Founded in 1991, by Dr. Marlon Lewis of Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Satlantic Inc. is an advanced technology company that provides precision sensors and data handling solutions to a wide range of scientists and field technicians from varying disciplines. Our core competencies are in the design and manufacture of oceanographic and aquatic sensors for optical research, satellite calibration and validation, and environmental prediction and assessment.

Satlantic is located directly on Halifax harbour with excellent access to deep ocean waters for testing and development of novel technologies. Virtually all of our design, assembly and testing is performed here at our waterfront facility.
